Location: 642 W Main Street, Merced, CA, 95340, United States Base Pay: $34.00 - $42.77 / Hour Employee Type: FT Non-Exempt Required Degree: 4 Year Degree Manage Others: No Description The Clinician provides comprehensive mental health services to clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of emotional and behavioral issues. This role involves delivering individual and group therapy, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, and working collaboratively with agency partners. Additionally, the Clinician collaborates with clients to develop effective strategies for enhancing their lives and relationships, fostering overall mental well‑being. Qualifications Master of Arts or Master of Science degree from an accredited graduate program with a major in Social Work, Counseling, or other related degree. These degrees must be license eligible (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC). BBS registration, licenses, credentials or similar certifications must remain active and valid with the governing entity, if applicable. One year of experience working with children preferred. Knowledge of community resources preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, Word. A valid California driver’s license is required for staff who have regular driving duties, and the driving record must meet the agency’s insurance requirements. Essential Job Functions Operate an agency or personal vehicle for work‑related activities which may include client visits, meetings, trainings, or other agency‑related appointments. Ensure compliance with driving requirements, including maintaining a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance as required by agency policy. Certifications must remain active and valid with the governing entity, if applicable. Ability to communicate ideas in oral and written form. Protect and honor individual integrity through confidentiality. Ability to work in a harmonious manner with subordinates, supervisors, and others. Ability to instruct in group and individual settings.Adhere to all applicable legal and ethical standards. Ability to work effectively with cultural/ethnic diversity. Physical, mental, and emotional health adequate to perform duties. Must possess knowledge of mental health programs and community resources. Responsibilities Provide direct clinical services to clients. Utilize program‑specific screening tools, providing admission assessment and treatment planning for clients. Provide school consultation when appropriate. Keep comprehensive clinical records that meet agency, Joint Commission, and contract standards. Collaborate with the referring agency or other community agencies to coordinate treatment. Collect outcome and consumer data as required by the agency and contractor. Implement program goals and objectives to meet and maintain contractual requirements and productivity. Navigate and utilize all required electronic health records (EHR). Prevent and control infection. Maintain a culture of quality and safety. Use de‑escalation skills and techniques for crisis prevention. Properly administer the C‑SSRS to help prevent suicide. Ensure interaction is appropriate and sensitive to client’s culture and developmental level. Other Attend all required meetings and trainings. Report any suspected child or dependent adult/elder abuse or neglect immediately to direct supervisor or the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable. Report any client imminent danger to self or to others or gravely disabled immediately to direct supervisor or the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable. Other duties as assigned.
