Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n Duration: 16 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 21, 2026\n Length: 16 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a fast-paced, high-acuity Level 1 trauma center requiring 3+ years of ICU experience with vents and drips.Details\n \n Medical ICU with 30 beds in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center\n Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, alcohol/substance use, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy\n Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week\n No on-call responsibilities\n Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month\n Fast-paced unit environment\n Requirements\n \n Active GA or Compact RN license required\n BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required\n Experience managing ventilators and drips required\n Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required\n Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases required\n Additional Information\n \n Care for critically ill patients in a high-volume, high-acuity trauma setting\n Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate\n Block scheduling is generally not approved\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-752763.
