Advanced Practice Provider - UAB Medicine Gardendale Primary Care The following APPs may be considered for this role: Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Work Schedule Full-time, benefited. Day shift, Mon‑Fri 8am‑5pm. CME Allowance Part‑time and full‑time benefited APPs receive an annual $2,000.00 CME allowance. Qualifications Family Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Responsibilities Provide medical care and treatment within established scope of practice under the direction of a collaborating physician or board‑certified physician. Collaborate with the physician, ensuring availability for direct communication, consultation, and referral. Coordinate plan of care, discharge, and specialty referrals tailored to patient needs. Plan and coordinate health‑care education for the patient, family, and other health‑care providers. Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments. Interpret, analyze, and evaluate the patient’s medical record and social data. Assist or perform procedures per collaborative agreement.
