Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant

Raymus Homes is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant to join our accounting team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, keeping things organized, meeting deadlines, and taking ownership of a busy accounts payable workload. You'll work closely with our Controller and other members of the accounting team while helping ensure invoices, vendor payments, reconciliations, and other accounting processes are completed accurately and on time.

What You'll Do

• Process accounts payable invoices from receipt through payment
• Code invoices and coordinate approvals with managers
• Prepare regularly scheduled check runs and vendor payments
• Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or past-due items
• Maintain accurate vendor records and W-9 documentation
• Record manual checks and other transactions in the accounting system
• Assist with credit card reconciliations and employee reimbursements
• Support general ledger cash reporting and other accounting functions
• Assist with payroll administration and other accounting projects as needed
• Communicate professionally with vendors, trade partners, tenants, and internal team members
• Maintain confidentiality of company and financial information

What We're Looking For

• 24 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated record of accuracy
• Ability to organize and prioritize a high-volume workload
• Comfortable working independently and meeting recurring deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent judgment, integrity, and discretion

Preferred Experience

• Construction, homebuilding, property management, or a related industry
• Sage/Master Builder, MarkSystems, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software

Candidates must also have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be eligible for coverage under Raymus Homes' auto insurance policy. The position occasionally requires local errands and the ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
