Shipping / Receiving Supervisor - 3097 Job Summary Supervises employees engaged in the processing of items being brought into the organization's facilities or shipped out from the organization. Job Duties Ensure that materials are checked against vendor invoices, bills of lading, customer orders and similar documentation Oversee the record keeping of damaged or defective items and discrepancies with regard quantities or weights Record time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials that been shipped or received Evaluate the efficiency of existing shipping/receiving processes, implementing procedural improvements when necessary. Monitor and track staff performance against organizational objectives Review and maintain records of shipping/receiving processes Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Education Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices Lead and direct the work of other employees Typically have some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance or disciplinary actions Typically require a bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience Intermediate verbal and written communication skills Problem-solving skills Detail oriented Organizational skills Pay range: $72,000 - $90,000 annually.
