Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with a strong background in orthopedic joint replacement, specifically hip and knee arthroplasty. The RNFA will provide advanced intraoperative surgical assistance and perioperative patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Preoperative: Review patient records and imaging, Ensure readiness of equipment and implants, Assist with positioning and sterile prep

Intraoperative: Assist in Total Knee and Hip Arthroplasty, Provide retraction, suction, and exposure, Perform tissue handling, hemostasis, and closure, Support robotic-assisted systems

Postoperative: Apply dressings and assist with recovery, Monitor and document patient status

Qualifications:

Active RN license, Completion of RNFA program, CNOR preferred; CRNFA preferred, 23 years orthopedic OR experience, BLS and ACLS required

Skills:

Knowledge of joint anatomy and procedures, Experience with implant systems, Strong teamwork and surgical skills
