Regional Sales Director, Immunology - Southeast Region

Merck

Merck seeks an experienced Regional Sales Director to lead the Southeast immunology sales organization. This second-line leadership role oversees District Managers and field representatives, managing regional P&L, customer relationships, team development, and strategic execution across multiple states.

Responsibilities

Lead, recruit, develop, and retain regional team executing customer engagement strategies
Own customer portfolio and experience, ensuring accurate communications across all touchpoints
Build relationships with senior healthcare leaders and industry thought leaders
Align account plans with payer and managed-care strategies to optimize access
Deliver regional business results and meet defined P&L targets for assigned region

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or managed care experience
Minimum 3 years people management experience leading teams
At least 3 years building and managing customer relationships
Regional residency with ability to travel up to 50% including overnight trips
Strong knowledge of healthcare dynamics, provider organizations, IDNs, and reimbursement
Track record developing high-performing teams with strategic agility and business acumen
Valid driver's license
