Comprehensive Solutions Account Executive

As a Comprehensive Account Executive for the business with Trane, you will be the primary driver for our financially and sustainability‑driven solution‑sales opportunities. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business as well as developing strategic customer relationships with public and private sector customers seeking value and outcome‑based solutions. Where Is The Work Prioritize engaging with customers. When not directly interacting with customers, collaborate with colleagues in your office. What You Will Do Develop and manage process for discovering client business needs and align with solutions. Evaluate projects and align process/solutions. Work directly and indirectly with clients on projects to confirm structured finance solutions. Client discovery and qualification. Work directly with client executives to develop financial pro forma and associated business cases. Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying required project team members, making assignments, and communicating next steps. Energy Services Project Strategy Understand macro market & finance trends and inform current offerings/projects. Directly monitor/engage clients to establish creative financial solutions that enhance/expand projects. Proactively engage with regional sales & leadership teams to develop/optimize strategies on priority projects. Stay abreast of current finance trends for emerging offerings and apply to current projects. Actively maintain market‑oriented external relationships to support the full set of offerings. Establish and advance Trane’s thought leadership in focus markets. Work directly with clients to establish key indicators, align and develop tailored offerings, and identify and close large deals or sales opportunities, consistently achieving quota targets and building, maintaining, and growing a multi‑million‑dollar pipeline. Provide knowledge and consultation on financial drivers, legislation, and requirements for energy and outcome‑based sales. Regional Engagement Maintain active relationships with regional energy services sales leaders and CSAEs. Support growth of pipeline and project size with creative/accretive structured finance approaches. Maintain a visible and active sales/project funnel utilizing software tools. Work collaboratively with cross‑functional internal teams of project development, energy engineering, and project management to develop system‑related solutions for customers’ challenges and opportunities, including financial and performance‑based considerations. Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or mechanical or equipment rooms. Site visits may involve variable weather, moving mechanical parts, heights, and other environmental conditions based on location. What You Will Bring Bachelor of science or 4‑8 years of executive selling experience. 5+ years executive sales experience, preferably within the MUSH market (municipal, utility, health care, education verticals), with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Documented success in financial sales with long, complex, multi‑tiered sales cycles in public and/or private sectors. Ability to engage multiple stakeholders, influencers, and key decision makers. Expertise in financial, legal, and technical aspects of deal structuring with multiple buying influences. Outstanding communication skills – ability to educate clients about Trane’s Design Build & Energy Services offerings, persuasively articulating costs, savings, investment opportunities, and long‑term options for infrastructure renewal and decarbonization. Valid driver license in state with no major traffic violations. Annual Base Salary Range $98,300.00 – $229,800.00 Compensation Type Salary Incentive Eligible No Sales Commission Eligible Yes Disclaimer Compensation is competitive and tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, location, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
