Associate Attorney

Zwicker & Associates, P.C. is a national creditor rights law firm that emphasizes ethics, compliance, and assertive representation for lenders nationwide. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, we serve lenders across the United States and are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in Tempe, AZ. The position offers a base salary range of $105,000‑$125,000 per year, plus applicable bonus. Responsibilities Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc., in furtherance of active litigation files Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action Advocate on behalf of the client’s interests at various litigation settings Utilize internal proprietary software to properly update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and litigation files, as assigned by the Managing Attorney, to ensure that proper litigation workflow is being performed pursuant to the firm and client expectations Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures Travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required Prepare for and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including case strategy development, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and presenting oral arguments Negotiate settlements with consumers and their legal representatives to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting client interests Evaluate case merits, assess risk exposure, and provide strategic legal recommendations Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and court procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Admitted to practice law and in good standing in Arizona Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated self‑starter Eagerness to learn Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload Ability to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing Ability to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device Ability to complete a minimum of a 40‑hour flexible workweek schedule Ability to read and comprehend position‑specific documents and correspondence Preferred Qualifications Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience Working knowledge of civil procedure Debt collection experience Prior experience in a high‑volume environment Physical Requirements Lifting five pounds or greater Sitting 90% of the workday at times Bending at the waist and being mobile when needed Concentrating and using critical thinking Zwicker & Associates, P.C. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals with disabilities.
