This contract role involves supporting ten students in a general education curriculum environment, fostering academic and social development. You’ll be working in a structured, nurturing elementary school setting, with a reliable schedule from 8am to 4pm, totaling 40 hours per week. The assignment extends through May 21, allowing you to engage with students through the school year.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience teaching in a school setting, particularly at the elementary level
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with general educators and support staff
• Understanding of differentiated instruction techniques
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and foster an inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction to a caseload of 10 third-grade students, following general education curriculum
• Adapt lessons and materials to accommodate varied learning needs
• Develop, monitor, and report on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents, guardians, and school staff
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Uphold all school policies and maintain required documentation
