Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit, maintaining a 1:1 ratio for active labor patients and a 3:1 ratio for Couplet Care patients
• Utilize intermediate fetal monitoring equipment, including Philips Tracevue, to monitor and assess maternal and fetal status
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the Meditech electronic health record (EHR) system
• Float to other hospital units as needed to support staffing and patient care demands
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality obstetric care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; travel experience may be considered alongside 1 year of clinical experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications required
• Must successfully complete a state-specific background check including criminal and child abuse registry clearance — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required prior to start
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required; titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be dated within the last 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an OB/GYN or Labor & Delivery setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR and Philips Tracevue fetal monitoring systems
• Experience floating to multiple units within an acute care hospital environment
