Requirements

Assist veterinarians with urgent care procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and aseptic techniques Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning, grooming, and monitoring patient health status Conduct laboratory tests and interpret results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Handle pet care duties including pet grooming, pet care education, and ensuring proper animal comfort and safety Manage diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-ray acquisition and processing Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with dental cleanings or extractions Maintain accurate medical records, update patient charts, and document treatments thoroughly Provide dog handling expertise during examinations or treatments, ensuring safe and effective restraint Assist with laboratory sample collection and processing for diagnostic testing Ensure adherence to veterinary critical care protocols during emergency situations Proven kennel experience coupled with animal handling expertise across various species including dogs and horses Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary critical care practices Experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray techniques, and aseptic surgical techniques Skilled in animal restraint, catheterization, and maintaining animal safety during procedures Familiarity with pet grooming, pet training techniques, and pet care best practices Ability to communicate effectively using veterinary terminology with team members and clients Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to veterinary dentistry procedures Capable of working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Enthusiastic about ongoing learning in areas such as equine experience or advanced veterinary technician skills Benefits
