Position Electrical Mechanic – Permanent – Pay Range: $44,000 – $46,000 Role Summary The goal for our electricians is to effectively and efficiently repair and maintain existing equipment and fabricate and install new equipment in order to meet production goals and expectations on a consistent basis while maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety Standards. The role requires working in a high paced environment with moving parts and equipment such as agitators, pumps, and forklifts. The mechanic will work near hazardous chemicals such as acids, oxidizers, petroleum products, and reducing agents. The mechanic must also work around steam lines and high pressure lines, as well as electrical and pneumatic lines, and will be required to wear various types of personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, half‑mask air respirator, and safety goggles. Responsibilities Checks, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair, removal, and reinstallation of wiring as necessary. Attaches wire or complicated electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers, instrument panels, and switchboards with fasteners (bolts, screws, or solder). Locates and corrects electrical problems, including component installation and replacement. Ensures wiring meets all building codes and standards for safety. Uses electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Tests newly installed electrical components to ensure proper function. Tests wiring and other electrical components to verify proper connection. Performs semi‑skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoots equipment electrical systems and control circuits and builds control panels from drawings. Prepares sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems. Requirements Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred). High voltage: 1 year (Preferred). State Certified Electrician. Automation and PLC background. Electrical experience 1 to 3 years.
