Behavioral Health Therapist Associate

UPMC Western Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist Associate to support our Child & Adolescent Acute Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Pediatric OCD Clinic. In this role, the Behavioral Health Therapist Associate serves as a key point of entry into care, providing clinical intake, assessment, referral coordination, and patient engagement services for children, adolescents, and their families. The position collaborates closely with referral sources, community partners, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to facilitate timely access to appropriate behavioral health services, ensure seamless continuity of care, and support successful engagement and transition throughout the treatment process. The Behavioral Health Therapist Associate for this role will travel between two different locations - Pine Center with one day per week at our South Side location. This position works daylight hours Monday through Friday. Sign-On Bonuses up to $7,000! Responsibilities Role Identification: Works with MHP/Supervisor to define role, interventions, and population complexity. Client Engagement: Connects with potential clients and addresses engagement barriers. Data Collection: Gathers necessary information for continuity of care. Assessments: Conducts structured assessments and documents findings under supervision. Treatment Implementation: Adapts treatment models for patient care. Screenings and Data Collection: Completes tasks to inform treatment planning. Documentation: Maintains accurate and complete case records. Diagnosis: Develops provisional diagnoses using DSM under supervision. Recovery Principles: Promotes self-management of illness. Team Collaboration: Works with treatment team and attends meetings. Treatment Planning: Collaborates on developing and updating treatment plans. Clinical Documentation: Completes documentation promptly and ensures service authorization. Therapy and Education: Provides individual and group therapy, engages families, and educates on recovery. Case Review: Reviews cases with supervisor and clinical team. Continuity of Care: Coordinates with community supports and treatment team. Service Referrals: Refers patients to appropriate services and programs.
