Position Overview

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:

• 
  Provide speech and language therapy services in accordance with students' IEPs
  
  
• 
  Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations and re-evaluations
  
  
• 
  Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  
  
• 
  Provide individual and small-group therapy
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and other related service providers
  
  
• 
  Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  
  
• 
  Monitor and document student progress toward established goals
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
  
  
• 
  Provide consultation and recommendations to educational teams and families
  
  
• 
  Travel between school sites if assigned to multiple campuses

Qualifications

Required:

• 
  Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  
  
• 
  Active or eligible Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license
  
  
• 
  ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility, as required by the assignment
  
  
• 
  Ability to obtain and maintain all school and district onboarding requirements
  
  
• 
  Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred but not required
  
  

Preferred:

• 
  Experience working with Early Childhood or Elementary K-4 students
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and special education regulations
  
  
• 
  Experience with speech and language evaluations and treatment planning
  
  
• 
  Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
  
  
• 
  Experience providing individual and small-group therapy
  
  

Texas School Requirements

Candidates must meet applicable


Texas licensing requirements for Speech-Language Pathologists


and satisfy all school or district-specific credentialing, background check, and onboarding requirements.

Additional requirements may vary depending on the specific assignment and whether services are provided onsite or through a hybrid model.
