The team operates across two core business areas: Projects and Subscriptions. The Projects team delivers bespoke, commissioned assignments tailored to client needs, while the Subscriptions team produces short‑term outlooks, long‑term analytical reports, and market forecasts.What will you be doing? Due to the continued growth of Argus, we are currently looking for passionate, driven and energetic analysts to join the business. Critical minerals are key market for Argus and this role will be part of a global team working to expand Argus coverage and analysis of a strategic commodity sector. Our critical minerals business already includes the first price assessments in North America and we’ve been instrumental in development of several capital projects in the Americas. This role will work with our global experts to deepen our analysis of critical mineral markets and assets with a focus on the Americas.The ideal candidate will be an excellent analyst and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will get exposure to all areas of the Argus Media Analytics business, and work with a great team.You will provide clients with the in-depth analysis, insight and perspective they require, contributing to our outlooks and analytics, and supporting Consulting projects. You will play a key role in building the business through development of propositions, products and services. Our team numbers about 20 in Houston, is made up of mix of industry experts and recent graduates from diverse and international backgrounds. Individuals that have a ‘can-do’ attitude and are prepared to play a role in all aspects of building the business will thrive.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain models to support the forecasting of supply, demand, capacity, imports and exports, price, production costs and margin for critical mineralsProvide detailed analysis and commentary on commodity markets, for Consulting projects and subscription reportsLead components of delivery, under guidance from managers, providing input to the client projects and subscription analysis reports produced by Argus Media AnalyticsLiaise with wider Argus staff to ensure current knowledge of Argus products and maintain current knowledge of major drivers and trends across commodity marketsWork with experts and analysts across our global offices to extract maximum value out of data collected and to deliver integrated analysisIdentify new sources of data to capture within the Argus fundamentals databasesSupport the development and commercialization of new data-driven productsIdentify new areas of commodity market analysisPlay a role in development of the consulting practiceWhat we’re looking for in you?Graduate / Master’s degree from a top tier universityHighly numerate with experience analyzing data quickly and meticulously with excellent attention to detail and accuracy focusIntellectually curious and able to demonstrate structured problem solving and analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong IT skills including Excel and PowerPointAbility to handle multiple tasks to deadline and to meet targetsFlexible in approach, highly motivated and willing to contribute to the growth of Argus’ Consulting Services.Interest in (though not necessarily with professional experience) the energy and commodities marketsThe training and support provided throughout the onboarding period requires full office attendance.
