Job Title: Buyer Location: Orchard Park, NY Employment Type: Direct Placement Industry: Manufacturing Compensation: Up to $70K/yr. **Based on experience Schedule: M-F 7:00AM-3:30PM **In-Office (with the opportunity to transition to hybrid once expectations are met) About the Opportunity:

• This position needs an experienced, motivated, and innovative Buyer that knows how to strategically negotiation, while maintaining inventory of direct and indirect/MRO products at necessary levels.
• The professional must be committed to discovering cost-effective solutions and suppliers and building partnerships within the product line to help the company meet our performance goals and sustain Inventory Plan levels.

• Oversees and maintain inventory levels and inventory turn needed for plan.
• Track, and maintain deflation, analyze spending, and utilize synergy commitments while meeting aggressive delivery timeframes.
• Research, analyze and forecast current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products, with attention to specified target market and demographics.
• Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers.
• Issue Purchase Orders and expedites deliveries as necessary.
• Assess financial risks of purchases.
• Attend trade shows, product exhibitions, and conferences to maintain current understanding of new products and trends.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of market dynamics and commodity outlook.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in a Buyer role for direct and indirect spending in manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of ERP/MRP experience.
• 3+ years of experience with contract management and supplier negotiations.
• 3+ years of experience solving complex problems.

What Sets You Apart:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Knowledge of Purchasing Department Procedures, Policies & Controls.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Demonstrated ability in communicating business goals / programs / processes for an area or business segment.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to details.
