Job Description Summary The Program Manager IT will lead and manage IT staff and resources in accordance with the company’s IT Business Plan. This role plans and manages scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with OhioHealth IS PMO project management standards and service level agreements at agreed budgets. This is a hybrid position in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities and Duties Project Execution (65%) – Responsible for managing technology projects and/or programs across one or multiple Lines of Business, from initiation through implementation, using multiple software development methods. Establishes project requirements, priorities, and deadlines; ensures compliance with all Risk, Architecture, and other relevant OhioHealth IS PMO guidelines; coordinates resources across projects; manages budgets and monitors progress; develops interdependency plans between development teams and business units; publishes project status and executive reporting. Communication (20%) – Articulate project needs accurately, act as a Business Analyst to gather information, handle ambiguity, self‑start, and know when to elevate issues. Influence without Authority (15%) – Interact with senior leadership and cross‑line resources to deliver projects; coach and mentor less experienced team members. As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (Field of Study: Business Administration, Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, HealthCare, Nursing or Related Field) 5+ years of demonstrated, progressive leadership and/or IT experience Desired Attributes 7+ years of progressive experience managing complex IT programs or portfolios PMP certification preferred Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models Familiarity with IT governance, architecture, and cybersecurity frameworks Experience in healthcare IT environments Demonstrated success leading enterprise‑scale IT initiatives (e.g., EHR implementations, cloud migrations, M&A integrations) Strong executive presence and ability to influence across technical and non‑technical stakeholders Extensive experience with tools such as Smartsheets, Jira, and ServiceNow Detailed Responsibilities and Duties Lead multiple concurrent IT programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering measurable value while meeting scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Develop and maintain program artifacts, roadmaps, and stakeholder engagement plans. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including infrastructure, application, security, and vendor resources. Establish and facilitate program steering committees and governance, ensuring efficient processes and decision‑making with high communication and transparency. Drive adoption of change management strategies and ensure readiness across impacted teams. Inspect program performance with a sense of urgency, creatively solve problems, remove roadblocks, and escalate appropriately. Hire, coach, and mentor full‑time and contract project managers to deliver projects successfully. Collaborate with peers and lead continuous improvement of IT PMO practices. Represent IT Solutions Delivery in enterprise forums and collaborate with the EPMO to ensure alignment.
