Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery

Saunders Medical Center is seeking a PRN Surgery RN to provide professional nursing care for patients throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, recovery, and immediate post-operative phases of care. The Surgery RN works closely with surgical and specialty care teams to provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assess patients Develop plans of care Provide direct nursing care throughout the surgical experience Caring for patients in Pre-op, Surgery, PACU, and Specialty Clinic areas as assigned Monitoring and evaluating patients Assisting with discharge planning Responding to emergency situations Providing patient and family education Communicating with the healthcare team Supervising and supporting assistive and ancillary personnel as needed Maintaining professional nursing, safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards Requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) license Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to communicate effectively and provide compassionate care Ability to organize workload, prioritize patient needs, and make sound independent decisions Operating Room and/or PACU experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Saunders Medical Center
