Key Responsibilities of the Ultrasound Technologist

• Conduct independent pediatric echo scanning, including fetal echocardiography
• Work confidently in critical care areas such as Neonatal ICU and Pediatric ICU
• Provide care to inpatient, outpatient, and ICU patient populations
• Exemplify strong knowledge of complex congenital heart disease, cardiac surgical repairs, and pediatric cardiac anatomy

Requirements of the Ultrasound Technologist

• ARDMS or CCI credential in pediatric echocardiography (RDCS-PE or RCS-PE) required
• Minimum of 3 years of independent pediatric echo scanning experience
• Experience in fetal echocardiography preferred
• AHA BLS and EKG recognition required
• EPIC experience from within the past 2 years is required
