Job Location 1009‑Athens Rd Winterville‑Shell - WINTERVILLE, GA 30683 Purpose and Nature of the Job Prepare food in accordance with Golden Pantry recipe guidelines, in compliance with food safety requirements, while ensuring customer satisfaction regarding food quality and presentation. Ensure food quality and safety standards are met through proper equipment cleaning, hygienic practices, and safe handling of food. Control waste, help to investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints. Clean, organize, and stock the kitchen area. Job Responsibilities Proper, efficient, and safe operation of the shift, contributing to increased profitability of the store. Observe the posted work schedule, unless approved by Store Manager for changes. Adhere to all City, County, State, and Federal laws. Operate shift within company guidelines to achieve sales, profits, and maintain standards. Perform all duties in a safe, reliable manner. Complete an incident report for all employee/customer accidents or property damage on the premises. Complete shift change checklist according to guidelines. Record information as warranted in the store communication log. Stay familiar with company manuals, bulletins, and other communications. Advise Store Manager of any situations adversely affecting store operating performance. Prepare a shift change report at the completion of shift in accordance with company guidelines. Properly record all hours worked and sign timecard verifying all hours worked. Assure proper sale and accounting of all merchandise purchased during shift. Give all customers prompt and courteous service. Maintain personal appearance according to Employee Handbook guidelines. Wear company uniform and name badge while on duty. Greet all customers with a smile and friendly acknowledgment. Ring merchandise promptly, count back change, offer receipt. Assist customers who need help. Remind customers of specials, when appropriate. Express appreciation to all customers. Handle customer complaints according to company guidelines. Control cash and inventory on shift according to company guidelines. Protect company assets at all times. Bring to the attention of Store Manager any damaged or spoiled merchandise discovered on shift. Keep coolers, store shelves, and displays fully stocked and fronted at all times. Ensure the customer area is clean and supplies are fully stocked at all times. Keep checkout counter clean and free of clutter. Use correct pricing for all merchandise. Keep store/floor clean at all times. Check all refrigeration units for proper temperature. Cleans windows; doors; floors; shelves; counters; and gas pumps, and checks pumps and hoses for leakage, as necessary. Contact service department in the absence of store manager for any problem listed on the “after hours” maintenance list. Ensure that the standards of any operations within the store are met, including additional required training. Follow established procedures for storing, preparing, cooking, displaying, serving and accounting for product during shift. Equipment, Tools, and Work Aids Proper use of the following equipment: ovens, fryers, flat top grill, cook tops, hot holding equipment, cooking utensils such as knives, spatulas, ladles, pots, pans, coffee makers, refrigerators, ice machine, mops, buckets, prep table and sink, dustpan, towels, broom, and chemicals. Qualifications Retail sales preferred. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Superior customer service skills. Basic math skills sufficient to complete orders, calculate inventory, and manage cash registers. Physical Requirements Work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Medium work that includes moving objects up to 25 pounds. Adjusting or moving objects up to 25 pounds in all directions. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs. Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. The duties and responsibilities listed are comprehensive but not all-inclusive.
