Night Shift CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION \n Works under the supervision of Driver Supervisor. Delivers containers to sites in a safe and timely manner. \n \n ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES \n \n Retrieves cargo from various cargo services. \n Ensures air containers, pallets, loads and equipment are transported safely and securely. \n Completes and submits on a timely basis all vehicle reports, receiving documents, trip sheets and other related paperwork. \n Receives and accounts for all cargo and submits receipts. \n Maintains cleanliness of vehicle. \n Accountable for collection of COD accounts. \n Reports all accidents to Driver Supervisor immediately. \n Logs break, lunch times and follows route on trip sheet. \n Able to demonstrate regular and reliable attendance. \n Able to work overtime as required. \n Other duties as assigned by Driver Supervisor. \n\n \n KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES \n \n Ability to drive Type 3 and CDL A & B vehicles as deemed necessary. \n Ability to work in cool temperatures. \n Ability to work well with others. \n Displays good attitude and judgment. \n Ability to do basic mathematical functions, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. \n Ability to operate forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks and wagons. \n\n \n PHYSICAL DEMANDS \n \n ~ Require frequent lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. \n\n \n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS \n \n High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. \n Produce industry experience preferred. \n Commercial Vehicle Drivers must have the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. \n CDL A license required. \n Forklift proficiency and certification required. \n Maintains licensure and PUC certificates. \n\n \n
