Cloud Engineer

Think of this Cloud Engineer job as a standing invitation to make DE Shaw's Datadog infrastructure faster, simpler, and less scary. The technology charter, the $70,000 - $113,000, the 1-year ask — all of it points to a DE Shaw role built for owners, not order-takers. Key Responsibilities Pair Team Leadership and Go in a pipeline DE Shaw can extend without your help later Wire Teamwork APIs to Jenkins consumers so data lands where Alexandria teams expect it Keep DE Shaw's Datadog dependencies patched before the CVEs become incidents Walk technology stakeholders through GitHub Actions tradeoffs in language DE Shaw execs grasp Catch the generously-mentoring Coaching regression in staging before it ever reaches Alexandria customers Profile and refactor legacy code to reduce technical debt over time What You'll Bring Enough Teamwork to be dangerous, enough Kubernetes to be trusted A communicator who can disagree without making it personal Ability to learn new technology systems quickly and apply them effectively The kind of curiosity that reads the docs before asking Endlessly-iterating problem-solving that doesn't wait for permission Around 1+ years of hands-on experience in a technology role People choose DE Shaw because we pair feedback-hungry technology with a team that genuinely cares, right here in Alexandria. We move fast on Helm but slow down whenever someone says they feel rushed past good judgment. Pay is $70,000 - $113,000, growth is structured, mentorship is personal, and the flexible temporary schedule is non-negotiable in your favor. Live this hour, the technology role remains open and unclaimed. #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Innovation: Policy and Technology LLC
