Lancaster Family Dental LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional dental hygiene care, including cleanings, patient assessments, and oral health education, while maintaining a safe, comfortable environment. You will collaborate closely with our dentists and staff, supporting both pediatric and general dentistry patients.

$36~$41 per hour

Current Registered Dental Hygienist license
Experience working in a dental office or clinic environment
Proficient knowledge of infection prevention and control
Skilled in oral hygiene education and patient counseling
Familiar with dental imaging procedures and equipment operation
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
Basic familiarity with electronic medical records and dental software systems (Open Dental preferred)

Job Description

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and patient assessments for all ages, including pediatric patients
Utilize dental imaging techniques (panoramic, bitewing, occlusal, periapical, Cone Beam CT) to assist in diagnosis
Take vital signs and accurately document medical histories following HIPAA guidelines
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive health care
Assist dentists chairside, including four-handed dentistry procedures
Maintain patient records, manage medical coding, and ensure confidentiality
Implement strict infection control, aseptic techniques, and disinfection protocols to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical best practices
