Part Time Driver

Location: Erie, PA (Onsite) Duration: 6 Months Contract Pay Range: $17.00 - $17.60 per hour on W2

Description:

Client's Foundry is seeking a reliable, safety focused Part Time Driver to support daily transportation and delivery needs. This role involves operating company vehicles to deliver materials, equipment, and other items to local and regional destinations within a same day radius. All routes are planned to be completed within your scheduled shift. You will represent the company on the road, ensuring safe driving, professional communication, and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a company light-duty box truck (automatic transmission).
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to ensure on time arrivals.
• Secure loads to ensure safe transport.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and trip documentation.
• Perform basic pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Communicate with Shipping Coordinator or supervisors regarding delays, route changes, or delivery issues.
• Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and DOT regulations (as applicable).
• Provide courteous, professional interactions with customers, vendors, and team members.

Must Have:

• Valid, current driver's license.
• 1+ year of professional driving experience (route driving, courier, delivery, or similar).
• Experience operating pickup trucks, cargo vans, or light-duty box trucks.
• Experience with industrial or commercial deliveries.
• No CDL required.
• Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safe driving practices.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb in/out of vehicles
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule starting at 7:00 AM.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Preferred: Valid DOT medical card.
• Wear proper PPE as required

Work Environment:

• Driving in local and regional areas in varying weather conditions.
• Occasional exposure to foundry or industrial environments during pickups/deliveries.
