School Lunch Aide

American Montessori Academy located in Livonia/Westland is hiring a part time School Lunch Aide. 

Hours 10am-1:30pm daily; $16 hourly rate.

We are seeking a reliable Lunch Aide to join our team to provide supervision and support for students during lunch periods. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere for children.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise students during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules to maintain a respectful and orderly environment.

• Communicate effectively with students and school staff regarding student behavior and any relevant issues.

• Manage conflicts and resolve issues in a calm and constructive manner, fostering a positive atmosphere.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the lunch area.

• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as necessary to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in child development, education, or related fields is a plus.

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to children and their families.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and maintain a positive attitude.
