Job Purpose Selling products and services using solid knowledge and persuasive arguments to prospective and existing customers. Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales. Essential Functions Acts with honesty and integrity Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers Educate customers in all aspects of meat processing and product manufacturing Identify and troubleshoot solutions to manufacturing defects and needs for customer products Utilize in-house test kitchen facilities to demonstrate and train customers and employees on equipment and product use Keep current with best practices and industry trends Attend industry trade shows, conventions, and further education seminars Travel, as necessary, to call on existing customers, develop new accounts, and attend state conventions Know the functions/applications and how to operate equipment to assess and sell the equipment best suited for customer needs Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships Develop new customers through cold calling Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services Continuously improve through feedback Requirements The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, competency, and/or ability required.
