Senior Financial Analyst

Title: Senior Financial Analyst Job Summary KBR is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support tasking for a Program Office within the NAVAIR Headquarters located at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The position provides resource planning and financial/program management analysis for the Advanced Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT). This role requires on‑site support and is not eligible for remote work. Responsibilities Perform budgetary planning, analysis, formulation, and contract management. Collect, organize, and interpret financial data to create and maintain annual spending plans, ensuring budgets are planned to efficiently conduct projects for multiple IPTs. Interface with IPT personnel to obtain inputs for staffing, travel, material, and fees; develop detailed time phasing of spend plan requirements. Assist with presentations of spend plans to PMA Level I/Leads, Business Financial Manager (BFM)/Deputy BFM, and NAVAIR/NAWCAD BFMs. Support PMA-231 BFMs with obtaining and tracking classified invoice information from prime contractors, facilitating timely invoice processing and payment. Coordinate with PMA and NSMA BFMs regarding classified purchase requisitions and gather required information to execute funding. Manage Common Spend Plan Tool (CSPT) resource requirements data entry and validation for Advanced Programs, ensuring approval with BFMs/PMA management. Participate in CSPT reviews; assist in annual spend plan creation, planning/tracking, and financial status meetings. Coordinate with PMA Program Managers to obtain cost estimates and with Level II to secure funding in accordance with the annual spend plan. Possibly provide supervisory guidance, performance oversight, and task coordination for team members, depending on workload and program requirements. Interface with NAVAIR/NAWCAD/NSMA budget analysts, contract resource managers, and NSMA contract specialists to ensure timely contract awards. Ensure appropriate funding of labor, travel, and material Contract Line‑Item Numbers (CLINs) per the annual spending plan. Analyze current expenditure rate data, identify financial trends, and manage total contract labor hours funded and total contract dollars remaining for multiple task orders. Communicate contract analysis to IPT leads, address concerns, and provide corrective action recommendations. Basic Qualifications Current Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation completed within the last 6 years; candidate must be eligible for TS/SCI. A current Top Secret Clearance is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related discipline from an accredited institution. At least 9 years of relevant experience in DoD financial management, including financial analysis, funds execution, and funding document development. Experience with CSPT and ERP systems. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to review, revise written documents, and communicate effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting a NAVAIR program office. Experience with the DoD milestone process (DoD 5000) and other acquisition policies. Knowledge of the DoD Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Systems (PPBS) process. Specific experience supporting the development of DoD financial reports. Work Location Onsite – NAS Patuxent River, MD. Compensation $121,000.00 – $181,500.00. The salary range posted is for Maryland locations and will be based on contract affordability, the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and consideration of internal parity.
