Material HandlerOur client, a leading organization in the industrial sector, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting logistics and supply chain functions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.Location: Traverse City, MIPay Range: $21/hrShift: 2nd shift, 3:00pm-11:00pm Monday-FridayWhat's the Job?Read work orders via onboard computer and follow oral instructions to identify materials and products to be movedExamine received materials, verify part numbers, and check for discrepancies such as damaged or incomplete shipments, implementing ISO procedures as neededLoad and unload materials onto or from trucks, trailers, pallets, racks, etc., by pushing, pulling, lifting, or stacking, either manually or with equipmentConvey materials or products from storage or work sites to designated areas, attaching identifying tags or labels to containersOperate lift trucks safely and efficiently, moving levers and pedals to control lifting apparatus and relate professionally with customers and co-workers.What's Needed?Consistent, hands-on forklift operating experience and a strong track record of safety and reliability. - REQUIREDStrong communication skills, including written, verbal, and computer skillsAbility to work independently and follow safety proceduresKnowledge of receiving, warehouse, and material handling methodsHigh school diploma or GED preferredWhat's in it for me?Opportunity to work in a dynamic industrial environmentGain valuable experience in warehouse operations and material handlingJoin a supportive team committed to safety and excellencePotential for future growth within the organization
