Medical Laboratory Technician

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Potential need for hours outside of this schedule.

Job Description: The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs work in one or more divisions or areas of the clinical laboratory to obtain data for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The role is crucial in ensuring accurate laboratory results that contribute to patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses to provide accurate diagnostic information.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure cleanliness of work areas.
• Collaborate with medical staff to interpret test results and provide relevant information.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the lab.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must possess an Associate's degree in laboratory science or MLT, or equivalent education and training.
• Valid MLT certification from ASCP or AMT.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience.
