Position Summary: The courier performs pharmacy delivery service to HealthPoint clinics, pharmacies, and other locations as required. The job involves manual lifting of pharmaceutical totes and supplies, loading totes and supplies into vehicle, the operation of HealthPoint Pharmacy vehicle, and other non-clinical pharmacy, and administrative tasks. Compensation is dependent on skills and experience. Your contribution to the team includes: Prepare pharmacy totes for delivery to various HealthPoint clinics, pharmacies, and other locations as specified. Deliver pharmaceuticals, interoffice mail, and supplies using HealthPoint pharmacy vehicle to various locations as specified. Responsible for paying any moving traffic violations and parking tickets received while performing job duties. Maintain files, records and routines needed to ensure the efficient operation of pharmaceutical deliveries. Provide pharmacy staff support which may include but not limited to: Assist with inventory management in ordering and receiving of medications from wholesaler and other vendors. File and retrieve pharmacy records as directed by pharmacist. Count and label medications, perform mail delivery duties and/or sends clinic stock orders as directed by pharmacist. Provides pharmacy administrative support of various administrative tasks which may include, but not limited to: Scheduling Third-party reconciliation PPE support: Assist with inventory management in cycle counts, ordering, and receiving of PPE supplies from wholesaler and other vendors. Assist with PPE room upkeep Operates a motor vehicle on a regular basis to travel to various locations to perform a variety of functions which may include transporting goods, providing a service, or other tasks required for this position. Compliance with all traffic laws and company driving policies is mandatory. Responsible for paying any moving traffic violations and parking tickets received while performing job duties. Maintains good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment. Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Must have’s you’ll need to be successful: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six (6) months to one (1) year delivery driving experience preferred. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write basic correspondence such as memos. No presentation skills necessary. Work assignments are routine and regularly recurring and require attention and concentration. Limited planning, discretion and consideration are necessary to adequately carry out work activities. Possesses basic operating knowledge of computers. Maintain current registration/licensure with Washington State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Assistant license is required. Valid Washington State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record determined by HealthPoint’s insurance carrier. This position requires the manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment. This person must speak and write clearly using the English language to accurately convey information and be able to hear at normal speaking levels both in person and over the telephone. Vision correctable to 20/40 is required to review written materials. Must be able to lift up to 30 – 50 pounds. Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start. HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment. Where to gather your records: If you are providing immunizations from an electronic health record, please ensure that you obtain a copy of your full records rather than a screenshot. Each page of your records should include your first and last name, date of birth, and the name of the health system from which the records are pulled. If records do not show any data, please seek guidance from your provider for further assistance. If you are unable to provide proof as noted above, you can choose to have a lab titer drawn to check immunity or to be re-vaccinated. If you receive vaccination(s) or lab titers, you may obtain them through HealthPoint at no cost to you.
