Shift Lead

Job Overview

We’re looking for a responsible, reliable, and proactive Shift Lead to join our Sweet Bean Chinatown team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, and is comfortable taking charge of a shift.
As a Shift Lead, you’ll help keep the cafe running smoothly, support the barista team, and make sure daily tasks are completed to our standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the cafe and lead the team during your shift
• Delegate tasks and make sure the team stays productive
• Keep the cafe clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Help with opening, closing, and daily café operations
• Support and train staff while maintaining café standards
• Handle customer questions or issues and communicate concerns to management
• Monitor inventory and let management know when supplies need to be ordered

Requirements

• Reliable, responsible, and proactive
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Able to delegate tasks and hold team members accountable
• Previous cafe or restaurant leadership position experience preferred
• Willing to obtain a Food Protection Manager Certificate
• Comfortable taking charge when a manager is not present
