Point of Care Laboratory Team Lead

Labcorp seeks a Point of Care Laboratory Team Lead at an Ascension hospital campus in Mequon, Wisconsin. The role oversees non-waived and waived POC testing across multiple sites, providing staff training, managing instrumentation, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee non-waived and waived POC testing across hospital campus and affiliated medical group sites
• Develop, coordinate, and document training and competency assessments for nursing and clinical staff
• Manage POC instrumentation including validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Conduct regular unit rounding to support staff, troubleshoot issues, and monitor quality adherence
• Investigate quality events, testing discrepancies, and implement corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 2+ years experience as Medical Laboratory Technologist or Technician
• ASCP Certification
• Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass color blindness test
