This position will be responsible for reviewing and completing the financial aspects related to inventory and manufacturing operations for both commercial and clinical programs, including cost accounting. This role will also be responsible for tracking projects and manufacturing activities, inventory analysis, standard costing and account reconciliations. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Operations and may be asked to assist with other activities and projects as requested.The Opportunity to Make a Difference Prepare monthly journal entries with required supporting documentationCollaborate with various business partners for project tracking, manufacturing updates, purchase order creation, accounts payable, receiving, shipping, etc.Reconcile and analyze general ledger accountsAssist in the preparation of materials to support audit requests and quarterly reviews including interacting with auditorsWork closely with Supply Chain to analyze and reconcile inventory CMO reportsPrepare monthly inventory reports including the inventory roll-forward report, account reconciliations, and work order variancesAnalyze monthly purchase price and manufacturing variancesWork with the Technical Accounting group to align our understanding of contracts and confirm the proper accounting treatmentAssist with physical inventory and cycle counts at various locationsMonitor and review inventory movement and transactions such as workorder completions, material receipts, and product cost of goods soldAssist with development of standard costsSupport the company’s SOX compliance efforts, maintaining detailed control documentationContinuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracyMore about You BA/BS with a major in Accounting, Finance or Business Management3+ years of accounting experience for a publicly traded company, life science/pharma industry preferredSolid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory and cost accountingKnowledge of Oracle ERP applications, ideally Oracle Fusion is preferredUnderstanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment is requiredExcellent analytical skills with knowledge of Excel-based modelingExcellent organizational and project management skills, ability to prioritize appropriately and meet deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendorsStrong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a team environment to reach a satisfactory resolutionWhat Now? Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges.
