Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Trauma ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Patient ratio 1:2. Float to ICU, IMC, and Telemetry units as needed. Weekend coverage required (approximately half of weekends per contract).

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma ICU experience with 14 rooms and 16 beds
• Work with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the unit
• 91-day travel assignment with one pre-approved time off period available
• Orientation provided with onsite module completion during initial training

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Level I Trauma ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (PALS and TNCC preferred)
• Competencies in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance, and ventilator management
• Previous charge experience and community hospital experience preferred
• Cannot reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
