QA Technical Tester / QA & Testing AdvisorCandidates who reside within 50 miles of the following locations may be asked to work in person three days per week: Bloomfield, CT, Chattanooga, TN, Denver, CO, St Louis, MO, or Scottsdale, AZ.Role SummaryThe QA Technical Tester / QA & Testing Advisor is responsible for strategizing and implementing QA practices and process across the Prepay organization. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and adhering to Safe agile practices. The candidate will work with the team in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the testing strategy. The QA will also work closely with Software Developers and other testers in small scrum or Kanban teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Specific duties and responsibilities include creating, comparing and manipulating data, creating, maintaining and executing test plans and test cases, estimating test efforts, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking and participating in day-to-day testing activities. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring regression test scripts are current and are in the appropriate format for automation.Responsibilities:Be a part of an ongoing effort to bring new testing knowledge and methodologies to the teamWorks with business partners and IT staff to establish and maintain a consistent testing methodologyIdentify and prepare complex test data to support the test cases defined by the teamDesign, develop and code SQL programs to execute backend code testsDesign a comprehensive testing strategy & build test suitesDesign, develop and maintain regression test beds and schedule test cyclesLeverage the testing process and test tool kit to create re-usable test setsEnsure regression scripts are in appropriate format for automationTest execution-manual and automatedPerform UAT of functional requirementsUtilize appropriate testing toolsAssist in the coordination of User Acceptance testing (UAT) and End to End (E2E) testingValidate and report progress, risks, issues and defects to agile teamCommunicates with business partners and agile team members throughout the project life cycle, to assist and support the design, development and implementation of effective systems and deliverablesBe an active participant during PI Planning, retrospective and daily stand-up meetings and business demonstrationsParticipates in the review of QA procedures and processes and the development of QA metrics for assessing the quality delivered application software or systems.Support all post implementation activities, such as post implementation testing and lessons learned analysisQualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred in business or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.6 + years experience in testing highly preferred.Experience with automation testing is required.Advanced database experience in SQL server databases and proficiency in Transact SQL:Ability to insert data in a tableAbility to modify data within a tableAbility to delete/truncate tablesAbility to save off copies of tablesExperience with deciphering complex SQL stored procedures as required.Extensive QA/Software testing experience in large cross platform testing programs in both WEB (UI) and BE (database) testing.Exposure to working in Agile/Scrum environment.Familiarity with AAPS tools and applications a plus.Working knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques, broad knowledge of business modeling, process engineering, change management and test case generation techniques across the testing lifecycle.Solid experience in business requirements analysis, test design, defect logging and tracking.Demonstrated experience in tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Page Object Model, Playwright, Java, Git, Maven, Jenkins.Testing/working experience with Healthcare IT and familiarity with Healthcare IT terminology, business functions and processes.Experience in all aspects of JIRA.Experience working with business analysts, system analysts and developers for test requirement gathering, acceptance criteria etc.Skilled utilizing test formulation tools for test management and operations, to include performance and load testing tools as well as test reporting tools (Zephyr).Competent user of the following tools: SAS, Microsoft Visual Studio, ESP job scheduler, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.Knowledge of how to query from PMHS, Proclaim and/or Facets a plus.Must be able to manage multiple assignments with staggered deadlines.Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and documentation skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong team and task management skills.Self-directed and highly adaptive to changing priorities.Innovative thinking and possess a keen eye for detail.Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.Flexible schedule is a must - the employee will be required to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays on a rotating schedule.If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
