divh2Job Title/h2pProvides excellent customer service related to scheduling patient care. Serves as an effective liaison for communication between patients and staff./ph3Essential Functions Statement(s)/h3ulliSchedules appointments related to physical therapy (walk-in and via phone)/liliManages phone system and assists Physical Therapist in taking messages/liliGreets visitors and patients to determine their needs and directs them accordingly/liliAdministers and enters patient intake forms/liliCommunicates with patients regarding insurance coverage and financial responsibility/liliCollects co-pay, co-insurance and other balances owed on account/liliPrints billing slip for Physical Therapist to mark services performed/liliSchedules follow-up appointments and cancels patient appointments due to no show/liliEnters charges and reconciles payments/liliManages buckets in Athena and ensures that claims are in drop status at charge entry/liliMaintains cash drawer for making changes and balances it daily/liliVerifies that all billing slips are submitted at the end of the day/liliServes as a liaison between the Business Office and Physical Therapy to ensure eligibility and Patient benefits are obtained before patient appointment/liliPerforms others tasks as assigned/li/ulh3Skills Abilities/h3pstrongEducation:/strong High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required/ppstrongExperience:/strong Previous experience in the operations of a physical therapy office is preferred./ppstrongComputer Skills:/strong Must be computer literate.
