The organization utilizes Cerner PowerChart EMR systems for patient documentation and care coordination across all trauma surgery departments. About the Clinician's Workday The trauma surgeon will provide comprehensive trauma surgery coverage working 14 twelve‑hour shifts per month, with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and night shifts from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM. The clinician will manage a shared daily census of approximately 35 patients while maintaining proficiency in tube thoracostomy and central venous catheter placement. The position requires ATLS certification and board certification with nights, weekends, and holidays coverage required. The surgeon will collaborate with trauma staffing including attending surgeons, APPs, residents, and trauma nurse leads while utilizing the Cerner PowerChart EMR system for all patient documentation. Night shifts include access to an available call room for clinician comfort during extended coverage periods.
