IT Technician

Job Responsibilities Maximize group revenue and profitability through strategic evaluation, pricing, and management of contracted block business and long-term displacement opportunities Partner with Sales, Catering, Event Management, DOSM, and the Director of Revenue on group business decisions and strategy execution Drive profitability across meetings and events, corporate, SMERF, association, tour series, convention, sports, crew, and social/wedding segments Evaluate RFPs and develop strategic pricing recommendations Perform displacement analysis and assess total account value Provide data-driven accept/decline recommendations aligned with revenue strategy Optimize ballroom and meeting space utilization with Catering & Events Manage catering minimums and space-to-room ratios Monitor block utilization, attrition, cutoff adherence, wash, and slippage Execute re-sell strategies to recover unused inventory Conduct 12-24-month pace and demand analysis Evaluate compression patterns and develop forward-looking group mix strategies Protect inventory through rate, availability, and inventory controls Optimize shoulder dates and peak night production Evaluate concessions and recommend blackout dates Own strategy, production, and performance for corporate, association, convention, SMERF, tour and travel, sports, and social/wedding segments Track KPIs including Group ADR, revenue pace, wash percentage, total revenue contribution, function space utilization, conversion ratio, profitability, and displacement accuracy Adhere to Company, Safety, and Department policies and procedures Foster teamwork, provide excellent guest service, anticipate guest needs, and build brand loyalty through JW Marriott Core Values Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, job requirements, and daily operational communications Communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners Requirements Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, or related field preferred 3-5+ years of experience in revenue management, group sales, or hotel analytics, preferably in a full-service or luxury property Strong analytical and financial modeling skills Advanced knowledge of revenue management systems and Excel Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to collaborate cross-functionally Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Experience evaluating group business and displacement analysis Knowledge of Marriott reservation systems and revenue strategies Experience in large hotel or resort environment preferred Familiarity with demand forecasting and pace analysis tools preferred Required Work Cards needed: N/A Ability to work in varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality Ability to perform work primarily in a seated or standing position for extended periods Mobility including bending, reaching, and navigating office and hotel environments Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or maneuver items weighing up to 15 pounds Proficiency with standard office equipment, computers, phones, and related technology systems Strong hand-eye coordination for extended computer-based work Basic mathematical skills and ability to accurately interpret numerical data, reports, and analytical outputs Visual acuity to read, analyze, and interpret data, reports, and systems Core Competencies: Demonstrates expertise in revenue management and strategic pricing, with a strong focus on maximizing profitability across various market segments.
