Comfort Keepers is an award-winning leader in in-home senior care, dedicated to helping seniors and adults live safely and independently at home. Our Scarborough, Maine office is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a compassionate, experienced Quality Assurance Caregiver/CNA to join our team.

Position Overview

This role is approximately:

• 50-75% direct caregiving/backup shift coverage
• 25-50% caregiver training, mentoring, and quality assurance

You will support clients in their homes while also helping onboard and mentor new caregivers to ensure excellent care standards.

Caregiver/CNA Responsibilities

(50-75% of role)

Provide high-quality in-home care services including:

• Personal care assistance
• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support
• Companionship and emotional support
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Mobility and transfer assistance
• Activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Light housekeeping

Shift coverage hours may vary between mornings and early evenings.

Quality Assurance & Mentorship Responsibilities

(25-50% of role)

• Train and onboard new caregivers
• Accompany new caregivers on first client shifts
• Conduct caregiver quality assurance visits
• Reassess client care needs
• Provide caregiver coaching and mentorship
• Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, office staff, and leadership
• Travel locally throughout York and Cumberland counties
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow company procedures

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Qualifications

Required:

• CNA certification (lapsed CNA will be considered with relevant years of experience)
• Minimum 2 years of caregiving or home care experience
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or training experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Auto insurance
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented

Preferred:

• 3+ years of home health or personal care experience
• Microsoft Office experience

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday-Friday
• Occasional weekend shifts required
• Day and early evening availability needed
• On-call flexibility preferred

• Client homes throughout York & Cumberland Counties
