JOB LOCATION: Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder Resort

REPORTS TO: Banquet Manager

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

FLSA STATUS: This is a Part Time, hourly; non-exempt position.

TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE (DAYS/HRS PER WEEK): TBD
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for set-up and clean-up of all banquet functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Set up tables and chairs to meet the function specifications.
Properly clean meeting space at beginning, during, and end of events, including not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping, scrubbing
Completes assigned side work to include cleaning meeting space and storage space, that adhere to standard hotel products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
Abides by all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Attends all mandatory meetings.
Keeps work area clean and organized.
Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently to interact with staff.
Basic knowledge of Meeting Room Set up, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
Must possess strong organizational skills.
Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED.
Prior Banquet department experience preferred. Prior set up experience preferred.
PPABC Liquor Certification or successful completion of the PPABC Liquor Certification course

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Banquet/Restaurant
Standing/Walking: 100%. Employee may walk or stand up to 4 hours at a time.
Ability to grasp, lift, push, pull, and carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
Ability to lifts, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 80 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop, and reach on a continuous basis up to an 8-hour shift.
Shift work required. Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
