Position OverviewThe Financial Counselor serves as the health care facility’s primary contact to provide financial counseling to all insured patients for purposes of securing prepayment in full or within 30 days of any patient liability. Liability includes any financial responsibility such as co-payment, deductible and co-insurance.

$19.37 - $28.09 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED).

• 1 year of experience in the collection field.

• 2 years prior office/clerical experience with the ability to perform simple mathematical computations with high degree of accuracy.

Preferred:

• Additional collection experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
