Security Systems Engineer

is seeking a highly motivated Security Systems Engineer to support advanced defense and secure communications programs. This individual will serve as a key contributor on the left side of the systems engineering V-model, driving mission and system definition activities, requirements development, architecture modeling, cybersecurity integration, and technical baseline maturation.

The ideal candidate combines strong systems engineering, cybersecurity, and digital engineering expertise with hands-on experience leveraging MBSE methodologies and Cameo Systems Modeler to develop secure, mission-critical solutions. This role will partner with software, hardware, cybersecurity, test, and program teams to ensure security requirements are incorporated early in the system lifecycle.

The successful candidate is a systems thinker who can bridge security engineering, systems architecture, and digital engineering disciplines. They possess a strong understanding of how secure mission systems are conceived, modeled, and defined before implementation and can effectively influence technical direction across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Experience supporting NSA-sponsored programs, Type 1 cryptographic systems, secure communications platforms, or intelligence community programs is highly desired.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience within defense, aerospace, intelligence, or federal programs.
- Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model, particularly left-side lifecycle activities.
Hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Proficiency with Cameo Systems
Modeler/MagicDraw.
- Experience developing and managing complex system requirements.
- Strong cybersecurity and security engineering background.
- Experience working with secure communications, cryptographic systems, networking, or information assurance technologies.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
- Active Clearance


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting an NSA program, Intelligence Community customer, or Type 1 cryptographic effort.
- Knowledge of PKI, TLS, certificate management, key management infrastructure, and secure network architecture
- Experience with DOORS, Polarion, Jira, Confluence, or other requirements management tools.
