Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years current experience required in a similar role. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: Must have BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Must-Have: Candidates must pass the EKG test before the start date. Candidates must be competent in at least three of the specified services. Description: The operating room nurse will provide care to patients undergoing surgery. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing patient care during the perioperative phase. Candidates should have experience in a variety of surgical procedures. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required for effective teamwork. The nurse will be required to take call shifts as part of the role. On-call coverage will include four nights every six weeks and two weekend shifts every six weeks. Travelers should understand that time off requests during major holidays will not be accommodated. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential for patient care. Candidates must provide proof of residency documents if selected. Charting experience, preferably with Cerner, is preferred but not required. The position is suitable for individuals who can adapt to various situations and challenges in the healthcare environment. A commitment to quality patient care and patient safety is essential.
