SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS)

Job Title

The role involves the development and optimization of technical work sequences for both nuclear and non-nuclear operations within the department.

Responsibilities

The duties include:

• Development of nuclear and non-nuclear technical work sequences and their optimization.
• Creation of preliminary schedules for management strategy definition through detailed scheduling of key operations and shift-by-shift work sequencing.
• Preparation of nuclear and non-nuclear work and test schedules and Critical Path Method (CPM) networks for submarines, surface ships, and service craft.
• Upgrading and maintenance of scheduling systems and methods used in the shipyard.
• Directing efforts of subordinate supervisors to prevent scheduling conflicts between projects.
• Conducting reviews of schedule adherence on complex availabilities and making recommendations to correct schedule deviations.
• Development of standard schedules for repeat type manufacturing, repair, and alteration work items.
• Creation of standard sequences for accomplishing productive work and testing by type of ship and type of availability for scheduling purposes.
• Conducting scheduling conferences affecting nuclear and non-nuclear work and testing.
