Shifts: 36 hrs guaranteed; Every other weekend & Every other holiday required; No blocked scheduling


Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Step-Down RN with over 2 years of recent Step-Down experience for a contract assignment in Auburn, NY. This nursing position specializes in cardiac and emergency care within a dynamic work environment. The role requires adept handling of various patient populations and ensuring high-quality post-procedural care.

Key Responsibilities of the Step-Down RN

• Provide care for patients with Congestive Heart Failure, post-heart catheterization, and vascular procedures
• Manage patients with respiratory failure utilizing BiPAP/CPAP/Vapotherm
• Monitor cardiac dysrhythmias and engage in frequent VS and neurovascular checks
• Administer medications including emergency and procedural sedation
• Perform IV starts, maintenance, and PICC line management
• Manage cardiac drips and assist with cardiac procedures

Requirements of the Step-Down RN

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Expertise in cardiac/emergency skills and cardiac monitoring
• Experience in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skilled in 12-lead EKG/ECG, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Proficient in infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Ability to handle BiPAP/CPAP management and chest tube insertion/removal
