Job Description

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Previous experience as a School RN or in a similar pediatric or educational setting is preferred
• Ability to independently conduct vision and hearing screenings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform vision and hearing screenings as part of routine student assessments and health compliance
• Respond promptly to student injuries, illnesses, and emergencies according to district protocols
• Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with specific medical needs
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
• Offer health education and guidance to students, staff, and families
• Collaborate with educators, counselors, and administrative staff to support student success
