Securities Law Paralegal

This is a steady, well-managed job without regular "fire drills" and because this firm is a true boutique in securities law with an experienced founder, rather than work on a large nuber of small caes, everyone typically works on high-level, sometime high-profile, well-chosen cases. We value quality over quantity. A hard worker will be able to do the work within normal work hours but this is a 100% in-person position.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for calendaring deadlines and advance notices of deadlines, as well as manage case flow, remind attorneys as to upcoming needs of the cases, upcoming hearings and very importantly must manage the collection, production, receipt, indexing and organization of documents and information with an eye towards trial. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various people and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized. Attention to detail is essential. It would be a real plus if the candidate has social media and blog management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain case files
• Assist the firm with finding new technology solutions
• Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
• Conduct research on potential arbitrators and factual investigations to support lawyers at the firm
• Manage steady flow of interns from law school externship
• Manage social media and blog accounts

Qualifications

• Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal
• Bachelor's degree
• Great references

Salary commiserate with experience, 401K and benefits.
