We’re looking for a skilled communicator, director, team builder, creative thinker, an Adobe Creative Suite expert, and someone that is as comfortable in the studio as they are in the field. In addition, top‑notch studio & EFP lighting skills and the ability to train and oversee student employees are required. This full-time position will also oversee and manage our television production facilities, technology, equipment, and will work alongside the content team to produce original, compelling content. Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon funding Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5) If Not a Standard Work Schedule: Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Production Manager leads a dynamic multimedia production team across traditional broadcast and emerging digital platforms. This position requires strong, hands‑on expertise in television and multimedia production, along with the ability to mentor and develop professional staff and students in a collaborative learning environment. The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of television and multimedia production, including production facilities, technology, equipment, and workflows, while maintaining high standards for technical excellence and production quality. Working closely with the content team, the Production Manager will help create original, compelling content for broadcast and digital audiences. A key focus of this position is expanding and strengthening the organization’s digital presence. The successful candidate will understand how to adapt and develop content specifically for online audiences, with an emphasis on increasing engagement across digital and social media platforms while preserving the high production values associated with traditional television. Plans, directs, and supervises television and multimedia production activities, project development, personnel, facilities, and equipment. Provides leadership in both traditional broadcast production and the development of digital content strategies designed to grow online audience engagement. Supervises, mentors, and develops departmental employees and student staff, fostering a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and hands‑on learning. Manages all production activities and operations, including studio, remote, broadcast, and digital productions. Oversees the scheduling and effective use of personnel, facilities, technology, and production equipment. Ensures the proper setup and teardown of staging, lighting, audio, cameras, and other technical elements required for high‑quality multimedia productions. Directs technical production staff and participates in studio and remote production activities as needed. Maintains high production standards, technical quality, and consistency across traditional broadcast and digital content. Works collaboratively with content and editorial teams to develop and produce original, compelling programming for television, web, social media, and other digital platforms. Identifies opportunities to enhance digital storytelling and develop content specifically designed to engage online audiences. Helps grow the organization’s digital presence by incorporating innovative production techniques and strategies that increase audience engagement and reach. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Associate's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience. Equivalent Qualifications: Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field and Two (2) years of professional experience related to the job duties duties and responsibilities as outlined. Special Certification/Licensure: Applicants are required to submit a link to an online portfolio or work samples showcasing their recent work. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.
