Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or a valid compact RN license
  
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, or similar acute care cardiac setting
  
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  
• Completion of all onboarding health and professional documentation (immunizations, background check, competency exams)
  
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and cardiac monitoring skills (ECG/telemetry interpretation)
  
• Preferred: ACLS certification and prior travel nursing experience
  

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac events, procedures, and post-op cardiac surgery
  
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, including continuous telemetry and ECG changes
  
• Administer medications, treatments, and cardiac-related interventions safely and as prescribed
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, case management, pharmacy, PT/OT) to develop and implement individualized care plans
  
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac health, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
  
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and supportive environment for patients and staff consistent with hospital policies and cardiac unit standards
